Once again another whole month has gone by in what seems like record breaking time. Our lil bug is now feeling much better and is back to his normal happy and adventurous self. Over the last month Owen has learnt quite a few new tricks. He has now figured out how to climb the stairs however I have yet to get this on camera as I have to be right behind him both hands ready in case he is distracted by something down below. As he doesn't yet get the concept that he can't just lunge towards anything that looks interesting. As for going down the stairs, that is a completely different story. Going up stairs for a baby is natural but when they try to turn around and go down they go head first and well that doesn't work out too well. So I've been doing my best to teach him to turn his body around and to go down feet first but this is quite challenging as he usually gets quite upset with me for trying to turn him in the opposite direction of where he is trying to go.
Another new trick that O is working on is standing without holding on to anything. It always comes without warming, he will just suddenly be standing in the middle of the room or sometimes even the tub not holding on to anything at all and he will just stop whatever he is doing and wobble for a bit in till he crashes on to his tush. He hasn't yet attempted to take any steps while doing this but loves to take little walks around the house with the aide of Mama or Papa.

Another new thing that O has been excited about lately is his now even bigger obsession with Bella. He now loves to crawl over to Bella's toys (which he now 100% knows are not his or for his mouth) and will get the widest grin and even sometimes let out a little giggle or shout of excitement then look over to Bella and hold out the toy as far out as his little arm will stretch and dangle it there hoping for a lil' tug a war. The sad part is that Bella will not play with him. We've only goten her to play tug a war with him a few times and thats only because we were the ones playing with her first and we would quickly transfer the toy to Owen's hands and she would keep going for a bit till she would notice it was him holding the toy and not Sal or I. We think that she is probably scared to hurt O, but hopefully once he is walking and a bit more stable she will want to play more with him. He also loves to try and give Bella dog treats. When I take out her bag of treats he knows right away what they are for and begins kicking his legs vigorously and bouncing with excitement. He will hold one in his hand, arm stretched out towards her but yet again she will not take it in less I am the one to give it to her. Seriously its the saddest thing to watch. I feel as though she is breaking his poor little heart.
To end off this post here is a video of our lil O playing with his new soccer ball that he is completely so in love with, enjoy!
