This past weekend was a great start to our first holiday together as a new family. Saturday we headed over to the park for a lil swing and slide action as this is Owen's new favorite activity. It was absolutely freezing out and actually snowing up in the Santa Cruz mountains, but completely worth while.
The next day we were off to cut down our very first christmas tree. On our way up to the SC mountains it started to rain which was a huge bummer but luckly it didn't last long and when we arrived at the ranch it was fairly clear, however still freezing out!! Anyway this was the best christmas tree purchasing experience I have had since we use to live out in the boonies of Canada and would simply cut them down from our own back yard. Although nothing will ever live up to hiking in the secluded woods, sleigh in tale, snow up to your ears and no one in sight for miles, this is as close as it gets for us. Bella had a blast running around free and it was great to have Sal's family along with us.
Such a cute family outing. I love Owen's white outdoor suit! So precious! I wish I could be with you guys for the holidays, but we've got a stocking here for owen to pretend! xoxox
ReplyDeletealso... we saw a very similar festival here in victoria! we were visiting friends who live right on the ocean, and it happened to be the same nights that all the sail boats were lit up!
